About Us
The Schuylkill County Young Republicans is a county chapter of the
Pennsylvania Federation of Young Republicans. We are a group of young adults
dedicated to supporting Republican candidates, bringing new young people into to
the GOP, and promoting the platform of the Republican Party.
We participate in campaign activities, such as going door to door and phone
banking; educational activities, such as having Republican speakers address the
group; community service activities, such as participating in the Relay for
Life; and social activities, such as a
group picnic and trip to the Reading Phillies.
We welcome all Republicans between the ages of 18 and 40 to join our

We are Republican because...
... We believe we are endowed by God with the right to Life, Liberty,
Property, and the pursuit of Happiness.
... We believe free markets and the freedom of every American to fulfill his
God-given talents and interests have provided us with the greatest standard
of living of any nation in the history of the world.
... We believe our Constitution and the genius of our Founding Fathers is
the bulwark of our Republic.
... We believe the best government is that which governs least; the proper
function of government is to do for the people only those things they cannot
perform themselves.
... We believe stable economic growth is achieved by sound monetary policy
and by spending every dollar necessary, but not a dollar more.
... We believe in equal rights and equal justice for all regardless of race,
creed, religion, gender or color.
... We believe America is safest from threats of foreign aggression
when we
have the strongest possible military and when we actively
confront-rather
than passively appease-our aggressors.
... We believe the fraternal bond of Americans is strongest when we
celebrate our shared, uniquely American culture.
... We believe that the family is the cornerstone of our society.
... We believe in personal responsibility, rugged individualism, civility,
decency and morality.
